While I would very much like to see clients in person, my practice is currently functioning in a telepsychology model. These changes have been implemented at the recommendation of not only CDC guidelines, but also my malpractice insurance company and my licensing body. Further, working in a telehealth model helps me avoid having to disclose confidential information about my clients, such as name and phone number, to contact tracers in the event of a positive test.
This means that I am connecting to clients on the phone, or via video. These applications are HIPAA- compliant and may or may not be be covered by insurance providers. I will continue to update during these uncertain times about my office policies. As of now, I expect that my office telehealth will be in effect until the state Covid-19 infection and fatality rates are at a safer level and the risk of spread is decreasing, as outlined by state epidemiologists and public health officials. This means that the state of Colorado is in Stage Green (Protect our Neighbors), the Colorado and county positivity rates per CDPHE and Tri-County Health are below 3.0% (7-day rolling average), and the statewide and metro county R-values are below 1.0.
I appreciate your patience and grace. My office Policy and Procedure changes as conditions fluctuate. You can review it any time. And as always, I am happy to discuss and answer any questions for you.
